Definitions & Sentences if Words

1. Recount
Def.: To re do something to make sure
Sent.: 'The defeated candidate demanded a recount on the votes'

2. Acrid
Def.: A chemical smoke that could burn your lungs
Sent.:"Oh My God! This acrid smoke is burning my lungs!

3. Lucid
Def.: Was described clearly/ easy to understand
Sent.: "The witnesses of this incident gave a lucid definition of what happened"

4. Corroborate
Def.: to give information of a theory
Sent: "This witness have to corroborate more about this robbery"

5. Elusive
Deft.: difficult to find/solve
Sent.: "The reports from the police have showed that the criminals are still elusive"

6. Disoriented
Deft: Confused or not sure
Sent.: "The living victims of this fire are disoriented"

7. Speculated
Deft.: To form an opinion but don't know all the facts
Sent.: "They have speculated why the plane fall, but they are still looking for more facts"

8. Analyzed
Def.: Found out what caused this to happened
Sent.: "The analysist have found out that gas has caused the explosion"

Some of these are quite good, Fritz, but there are a couple that still need examination to get them just right. Check recount, corroborate. They need improvement.
